The Lochinver part of our adventure has finished for the moment as we have moved 45 miles eastish to Lairg - it would be less than 45 miles if you were a bird but the mountains get in the way.

- The story so far....... English, Christian Family leave place of birth, church, work, lovely house and garden to go up to the furthest northerly reaches of UK mainland - to...... 'live as Christians in the community and encourage the church' - this whole thing began 5 years ago with a leap-off the page/screen job advert at Highlands and Islands yfc........... Since then we spent 2 and a half years in Lochinver - all kinds of barriers thrown up in the sale of Glebe Cottage in Ashill, all kinds of hassles as we learned about new culture and startlingly different ways of expressing faith - I'm sure we were an affront to some we met connected to church - but God opened doors and particularly working together in Lochinver with many different people, we were able to help do some children's work. Meantime we discovered Lairg Christian Fellowship and once the house sold made a move over here!
